As Upend Construction, we aim to continuously improve ourselves in Occupational Health & Safety and environmental practices in all our domestic and international activities, in line with our company policies. The construction sector, in which we operate, is classified as “High Risk.” While striving to complete our projects on time and with high quality, the principle of “SAFETY FIRST” is our moral priority. We do not view occupational health and safety merely as a legal obligation; with a dedicated team of safety specialists exceeding regulatory requirements, we ensure safety on-site. For us, Occupational Health & Safety is not just a legal requirement—it is a matter of conscientious responsibility.

In 2025, our domestic projects exceeded 1 million man-hours, with our accident frequency and severity rates well below the national average in Turkey. Together with all our employees, we are progressing toward the “ZERO ACCIDENTS” target. During the same period, our international operations surpassed approximately 400,000 man-hours, achieving the “ZERO ACCIDENTS” goal. We have also increased the proportion of training hours within total man-hours to 4%, with a target of 5% set for 2026.

In 2025, our company underwent audits for the ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management System, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, and ISO 9001 Quality Management System, successfully completing them and obtaining certification.

Numerous initiatives have been undertaken to ensure a clean environment and sustainability, which are obligations we owe to the future. Our commitment to these principles has been communicated and instilled among our employees and all subcontractors.
